for me it was watching a brother have a heart attack during the meeting in the auditorium.
i was a kid and noticed him shaking and acting strange.
Plus the brother giving his first assembly talk all about the flood. And how the people laughed at Noah until the flood came and drowned the bloody lot of them!
ha ha ha--i heard that one too--back in the late 60's. only it was the Red Sea crossing then.
hello, i was hoping to get some clarification about how people are disciplined for immorality as a jw.
i became involved with a co-worker a few years ago, she was fairly aggressive and she initiated a physical relationship very quickly.
at the time i did not know she was married and a jw.

it sounds to me like you have had a very lucky escape. how about a change of job...in a new location...make a complete new start.
is it me who thinks this.......jw pimi or pomi women lack natural affection toward there children, family and human's.. it must be the indoctrination that strips these emotions.
i see it in my wife all the time, when she talks with non jw people she is like "meh" i got to talk with you.. when she talks with jw people, she has a cult emotion like "yes my people" .
she is screwed in the head, the more that time goes by i want to leave her and get a divorce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
aint i the lucky one. i gave my wife the perfect reason to divorce me--and she did !

everyday that goes by i thank my lucky stars that our sons' want nothing to with this cult.
she has set such a bad example of what a christian is, that is also what desuades them and keeps them thinking its a cult.
by what actions?
like my 1st wife--a born in. She totally shuns our son because--like me--he decided it wasnt for him ( in his 30's).
He has a great life--lovely wife and family--successful business and all that goes with it. just no mother.
when they come to your door knocking... the best way to preach back is.... handing them a comic book when they hand you a watchtower magazine..
you could ask them pretty well anything about their beliefs--chances are they wont know the answer and give you a leaflet directing you jay-w organs

it's been a while since i posted here, but i feel like posting again.. it's hard sometimes to find the energy to post here after i expend all my time working a full time job and pretending i care about the wt$ at the same time.. i've been trying to slowly wake my girlfriend up ever since i first posted here, and i must say it is a long waiting game that i am playing right now.
almost all my efforts are dismissed and i've been slowly losing hope.. anyways, what i meant to really post here today is about old publications.. honestly anything that has to do with the watchtower and jdubs, as of recently makes me feel like vomiting.
best to burn the lot. if you just throw it away--some poor sod might just pick up an item and read it--and get a mention on a big assembly programme.
i was 20 years old and at bethel for just a couple of months.
i was really depressed, as i was finding out what bethel was really all about.
i drank a whole bottle of cold duck, after a long hot subway ride back to brooklyn.
there were no first times--just plenty of last times.
one i can recall..jw friends of mine--in Birmingham UK--were caretakers of an office block. each christmas they were paid to host a big office party for clients and guests. i was about 16--and helped out as a barman. this was in the late afternoon of xmas eve. i was supposed to do a talk at the KH ministry school that night.
i never made it. i was found passed out stone cold--pissed--on the floor of one of the lavatories--hugging the bowl and covered in my own cold puke.
does there seem to be a higher incidence of infidelity amongst the jws?.
my brother, who is an active jw and ministerial servant, has an elder friend who was recently disfellowshipped for having an affair with another sister in the hall.
it turns out this sister was divorced a few years earlier from a "worldly" man who had an affair on her.

ive had 4 liaisons..1 with a pimi married sister who got herself d/f and divorced over it---the other 3 were already out. 2 of them i still chat to on facebook.
i am just curious if anyone knows whether the "friends" still are required to wear "meeting clothes" for attending meetings through zoom?
such emphasis on dressing in a godly manner over the decades, would be interesting if some attend in pajamas or their work clothes, no makeup, etc....
